Dr. Eng. Janusz Dygaszewicz has been working at Statistics Poland since 2007. He currently holds the position of Director of the Department of ICT Systems, Geostatistics and Censuses at Statistics Poland. From 2010 to 2011, he served as Deputy General Census Commissioner and Director of the Central Census Bureau for the 2010 and 2020–2021 census rounds. He is a member of the Architecture Council of the Committee of the Council of Ministers for Digitalization (KRMC).
Since 2016, he has been a member of the Executive Committee of the United Nations Global Geospatial Information Management for the European region (UN-GGIM: Europe).
He is also a member of the High-Level Group for the Modernisation of Official Statistics under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva.
From 2015 to 2022, he served as President of the European Forum for Geography and Statistics (EFGS).
In Polish statistics, he is responsible for IT systems, the modernization and standardization of statistical production processes, the implementation of GIS technology in public statistics, population censuses, and cybersecurity.
