Agnieszka Kwiatkowska-Gurdak

The Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, Agnieszka Kwiatkowska-Gurdak, is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration, majoring in law at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
From 2004 to 2015, she served in the Central Investigation Bureau of the Police, ending her service with the rank of police commissioner. From 2004 to 2007, she specialized in conducting preparatory proceedings in criminal and drug-related cases in the Department for Combating Organized Crime and Drug Trafficking. From 2007 to 2015, she led preparatory proceedings in the Department for Combating Economic Organized Crime.
In 2014, based on a personnel order from the Chief Police Commander, as part of the IPA Placement Programme, she completed a professional internship in the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
Since 2015, she has served in the operational-investigative branch of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, where she held a managerial position in the CBA Delegation in Bydgoszcz. In 2021, she was awarded the Bronze Medal of the President of the Republic of Poland for long-term service. On March 5, 2024, the Prime Minister appointed Agnieszka Kwiatkowska-Gurdak as the Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau after consulting with the College and the Parliamentary Committee for Special Services, as well as the President of the Republic of Poland.
Ms. Agnieszka Kwiatkowska-Gurdak served as the Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau from December 19, 2023.
She is fluent in English, German, and Russian.
She is married and has an interest in cynology, particularly in chihuahua dogs (she is a member of the Polish Kennel Club). She engages in sports, enjoys traveling, cinema, literature, and foreign languages.
